Fashion on the Field: Millinery Award 2011
Local milliner Rebecca Share has won the 2011 Millinery Award at Flemington with a curvy navy and red creation; almost a hat within a hat. Second was Mandy Murphy with a classic rose studded piece and thirdly Louise Macdonald’s design also mimicking flora. Both runners-up are also based in Melbourne which is handy for we racegoers next year. I also adored Lisa Tan, Lynette Lim and Ann Shoebridge’s creations.
Couture Fashion & Millinery
A beautiful hyacinth blue hat that was designed for a customer. Trimmed in coordinating swirls and silver and diamante details.
Felicity Brown of Broome, West Australia has been given the opportunity to showcase her Creative Millinery work in New York Fashion Week in September 2014. Felicity will be the first Australian Milliner to showcase her hats and fascinators in this event space.
Millinery at Norisol Ferrari
A couple weeks ago I was in New York City, helping make hats for the Norisol Ferrari Spring/Summer '13 collection that showed at New York Fashion Week. Working with Norisol and her design team was exciting and inspiring!
